Residents of Cane View Avenue awoke this morning to find the lifeless body of a man wrapped in a blue tarpaulin at the side of the roadway.
Police were immediately called after the discovery was made by a passer-by around 6 am.
No one could say how the man ended up there but he is said to be a known “junkie”. The body bore marks of violence including bruises and what appeared to be stab wounds.
When Stabroek News visited the area residents were tight-lipped. No one recalled hearing any suspicious sounds prior to the discovery.
The body is at the Lyken’s Funeral Home awaiting identification.
