Dear Editor,
The day will come when the political parties will ask Guyanese to support them in a national election. I am certain that the voting population will remember this horror of an increase in light bill they may be about to face.
They will blame the politicians, all of them. And they will remember that the politicians contributed to starving their children. If there is an increase in the light bill as proposed, I will find it difficult to vote with a free conscience for a political party in Guyana.
To do so would be to concede that I am not a man with a semblance of dignity. I will be supporting those who are debasing this nation.
