Dear Editor,
An agreement from a Justice of the Peace which was accepted last week allegedly at the request of the police in Region 2 as settlement in a road accident has now been rejected with the driver of a hire- car having to face a charge for dangerous driving.
For whatever reason, the police did not prosecute the driver from the inception ‒ the accident occurred some two weeks ago ‒ but a charge was filed recently.
The justice system will be all the better for the stamping out of illegal practices.
