After I considered Simona Broomes’ relentless fight to eliminate trafficking in persons, in which she displayed self-confidence, zeal, dedication, determination and concern for others, I can deservedly brand her the ‘Iron lady’ or local Margaret Thatcher. But as she continues fighting persistently, I am moved to say that she seems to be driven by the inspirational words of Winston Churchill ‒ “We shall never surrender.”
Simona has done her community and Guyana proud. Other women should join her in this mighty effort to combat trafficking in persons. Simona should keep on fighting and never surrender!
