Permit me to bid a happy and reflectful 175th Emancipation Day /Month to all Guyanese, and in particular to my brothers and sisters of African descent, who must feel reassured that the rest of us are with you in your continued struggles in every part of the world to recover, economically and spiritually, from that crippling blinding white flash in human history that spanned several centuries.
