Dear Editor,

If the Amaila Falls Hydro Power Project becomes reality it might well be assessed as government’s most specular achievement and a national feat.

This will demonstrate that there were obstacles to surmount or circumvent.

The paramount obstacle is the non-support of the combined parliamentary opposition. Government’s overtures and appeal for the cooperation of the AFC and APNU have all fizzled, although the PPP/C and AFC/APNU might possibly come to terms ultimately.

This would dispel any doubts, fears, shady aspects, complications and intricacies that are probably attached to the project and keep it rolling on.

Yours faithfully,
George Carrington
