No MOU in force between Enman Group and government

Dear Editor,

The Stabroek News article of September 17, 2013 with the caption, ‘T&T Group eyes hydro plant, power link, among US$4B-mega projects here’ was brought to our attention. The Government of Guyana wishes to clarify that, at present, there is no Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in force between the ENMAN Group and the Government of Guyana.

ENMAN Services Ltd had applied for and was granted an MOU in 2001 to conduct studies at the Takwari site, which was amended a few months later, substituting the Turtruba site.  That MOU was amended from time to time, eventually expiring by effluxion of time in July 2010 and ENMAN Services Ltd was duly informed.

Yours faithfully,
Morsha Johnson
