In response to a letter dated October 9 titled ‘Unsolicited advertisements on Digicel phones an annoyance’, please note that we have contacted our customer Mr Sheldon A McDonald and amicably resolved the matter. Further, customers who are not desirous of receiving mobile advertising can continue to call our Customer Care department by dialling 100 to indicate their wish to opt out. In an effort to offer even greater convenience, customers can also simply text their number to short code 1558 to achieve the same objective.
As always, Digicel is committed to meeting the needs of our customers and publicly wishes to apologise to Mr McDonald and any other customer who was inconvenienced in any way.
