PhotosSouth Rupununi biodiversity checkBy Stabroek News November 11, 2013 South Rupununi biodiversity check: After two weeks exploring the South Rupununi, a Biodiversity Assessment Team (BAT), has found that the area has a high diversity of species. A GINA release said that the team’s biggest achievement of this World Wildlife Fund undertaking has been the documenting and mapping of approximately a thousand species of fauna and flora including a number of new species.
