Stafanie Taylor enters World Cup as the leading all-rounder

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates,  CMC- West Indies women star player Stafanie Taylor has entered the ICC Women’s World Cup 2013 as the world’s leading all rounder in One Day Internationals (ODI).

Taylor is currently enjoying a handsome lead of nearly 100 ratings points over Australia’s Lisa Sthalekar and is expected to consolidate her position.

According to the latest Reliance ICC Women’s ODI Player Rankings released Wednesday Taylor is out-front on 453 points while the second ranked Sthalekar is on 364 ratings points.

Her team mate, Shanel Daley, sits at number five in the all rounder’s rankings to be the only two West Indian players in the top ten.

Taylor also seems to be on the heels of India’s Mithali Raj to head the batting table as well.

The West Indian all-rounder is 22 points behind Raj who tops the batting table with 767 ratings points.

Taylor is ranked seventh in bowling with 608 points behind team mate Anisa Mohammed on 630

The fight for the top slot in the Reliance ICC Women’s Player Rankings for ODI bowlers is even more interesting.

England’s Katherine Brunt heads the bowlers’ table with 777 ratings points but will face a tough challenge from Australia’s Lisa Sthalekar, who is second with 764 ratings points.

The reliance ODI player rankings will now be updated on 18 February at the conclusion of the ICC Women’s World Cup.
