Transport, GDF looking to rebound in Hadi’s division one cricket

The Georgetown Cricket Association /Hadi’s World Incorporated division one, two-day cricket competition will continue today with three matches.

The Demerara Cricket Club (D.C.C) will clash with the Guyana National Industrial Corporation (G.N.I.C) in Queenstown while Police Sports Club (P.S.C) plays Malteenoes Sports Club at Eve Leary.

In the day’s third match, Transport Sports Club will visit the Guyana Defence Force (G.D.F) at Camp Ayanganna.

In the most recent results, Police Sports Club comprehensively beat Transport Sports Club last weekend while Malteenoes completed a six-wicket win over the Guyana Defence Force in a low-scoring encounter at Camp Ayanganna.

Both Transport and the G.D.F will be eager to rebound from their respective defeats while Police and Malteenoes will aim to continue in winning vein.

The Demerara Cricket Club face another potentially stern trial against G.N.I.C after losing first innings points to G.C.C in a drawn encounter last week-end.

With the Regional Super50 and Four-Day tournaments, just around the corner, D.C.C’s Christopher Barnwell, Trevon Griffith and Derwin Christian will be in search of form in the build up to the much anticipated regional First-Class season.

Matches in the Hadi’s World Incorporated competition begin at 9:30 a.m. each day.

Noble House Sea Foods 2nd Division 2-Days Competition

Also continuing today is the Georgetown Cricket Association/ Noble House Sea Foods division-two, two-day competition with two matches in Zone A and one in Zone B.

Police Sports Club will clash with Transport Sports Club at the Gandhi Youth Organization ground.

In the other Zone A match, Third Class travels to the Muslim Youth Organization ground to face the Vikings.

In Zone B the Georgetown Cricket Club will play the Guyana Defence Force at the Guyana National Industrial Corporation (G.N.I.C) ground. G.C.C’s fast bowlers Cleyon Critchlow and Bernard Bailey each claimed five wicket hauls in their last game in this competition when G.C.C beat Gandhi Youth Organization outright.

Matches in this competition begin at 10:30 a.m. on both days.
