Juman-Yassin to chair GFF Electoral Committee

The three-member Electoral Committee of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) on Tuesday convened its first meeting and elected K. Juman-Yassin as chairman and Emily Dodson as deputy chairman. Stephen Lewis is the third member of that committee with Marl Waldron as the alternate.

The GFF had been mandated by the FIFA/CONCACAF delegation which visited Guyana last month, to set up the committee ahead of the upcoming GFF Congress and election of office bearers.

Apart from selecting the chairman and deputy chairman, the meeting held at the GFF’s office, Section K Campbellville, was also to acquaint the members of the Electoral Committee with the guidelines in the FIFA Electoral Code and the GFF Constitution which will provide direction for the committee to effectively carry out its functions.

Also present at the meeting were Franklin Wilson, acting president of the GFF, Noel Adonis, general secretary and George Rutherford, deputy general secretary.
