IGG dates set, Guyana to host first leg

The dates for the Inter-Guiana Games (IGG), a competition between three countries, Guyana, Suriname and French Guianaare is set for April and  October-November. Eight disciplines, Chess, Table-Tennis, Football, Basketball, Track and Field, Swimming, Volleyball and Cycling will be competed in.

Guyana will host the first leg of the IGG with the respective sport disciplines, Basketball, Football, Table-Tennis and Chess being held.

Stabroek Sport was made to understand that two countries, Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago will be invited to compete in Basketball and Table-Tennis which will be held at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall (CASH).

The second leg of the Games which involves Track and Field, Volleyball, Cycling and Swimming will be staged for Suriname.
