Fudadin scooped out a stubborn 55 as Guyana crashed to 151 all out and the Windward’s, trying to secure the upper hand, reached 124 for four at the close.

The Windward Islands are trailing Guyana by 27 runs on first innings at the Arnos Vale playing field.

Fudadin hit seven fours and was the only batsman to offer a measure of resistant other than Rajindra Chandrika who contributed 25.

Guyana found the going tough as seven batsmen were dismissed before a hundred runs could be put on the board in the face of excellent bowling from Shane Shillingford, Liam Sebastien and Delorn Johnson.

Fudadin and Chandrika attempted to steady a crumbling innings but their efforts were not enough to repel the bowling trio of Shillingford 4-40, Sebastien 3-21, and Johnson 3-43.

The Windward Islands started off poorly losing early wickets and had slid to 74 for three but are now staging a comeback as they try to surpass Guyana’s first innings.

The Windward Islands have already lost prolific opener Devon Smith for 38 while Keddy Lesporis has scored 39.
