Bravo burst sets up easy Chennai triumph

CHANDIGARH, India, CMC – Medium pacer Dwayne Bravo helped derail the Kings XI Punjab innings and lay the platform for Chennai Super Kings’ emphatic ten-wicket win in the Indian Premier League here yesterday.

The West Indies all-rounder snatched three for 27 from his four overs as Kings XI, sent in at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, stumbled to 138 all out off the penultimate ball of the innings.

Australian David Hussey top scored with 41 from 36 balls but Kings XI collapsed from 106 for three in the 15th over, losing their last seven wickets for 32 runs.

In reply, Michael Hussey, David’s older brother, lashed an unbeaten 86 from 54 balls while Murali Vijay got a run-a-ball 50 not out, as Chennai coasted to their target with 16 balls to spare.
