Guillen gets recall to T&T side for Super50 clash with CCC

PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC-Trinidad and Tobago have recalled opening batsman Justin Guillen for their Regional Super 50 semi-final against Combined Campuses and Colleges at Kensington oval, Barbados next Thursday.

The left handed batsman has been included along with Queen’s Park cricket club teammate Akeal Hosein and aggressive wicketkeeper-batsman Nicholas Pooran at the expense of all-rounder Yannic Cariah, pacer Teshawn Castro and middle-order batsman Kjorn Ottley. Also unavailable for duty is West Indies batsman Darren Bravo who is due to have eye surgery and will be out for the next three weeks, cricket officials have said. T&T, playing without a number of frontline cricketers who are campaigning in the Indian Premier League (IPL), have played unbeaten in six matches to top the preliminary round of the regional Super 50 on 25 points.

Their one hundred percent record includes a victory over defending champions Jamaica who play Windward Islands in the second semi-final match next Friday.
The two semi-final matches at Kensington oval will be played under lights.
