UDFA says it is willing to work with GFF

The Upper Demerara Football Association (UDFA) says it is prepared to work with the new executive of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF).

The UDFA made the disclosure in a congratulatory letter to the new executive following the April 12 election which saw Christopher Matthias of the Georgetown Football Association winning the presidency. “We take this opportunity to assure you that our association is prepared to work with the newly elected body to developmentally guide the sport of football in the right direction,” wrote Cindy Saigon, secretary of UDFA.

With UDFA being an affiliate to the GFF, the association said it was e hopeful that the fresh body of executives’ live up to their speeches and sentiments shared over the past months.

“We prominently expect this body to honourably put into action the sentiments shared in countless speeches given for the past few months,” the secretary stated.
The UDFA also wished the GFF success in future procedures as they strive for accountability, accuracy, transparency and inclusiveness.
“May ‘football’ always be the winner under your reign,” the correspondence stated.
