GRACE ROAD, Leicester, CMC – Brendan Nash stoked his second half-century of the match as Kent forced a draw with Ramnaresh Sarwan’s Leicestershire here yesterday.
Trailing by 89 runs on first innings in the Division Two County clash, Kent reached 213 for two declared, with the former West Indies left-hander Nash hitting 62.
He put on 124 for the second wicket with opener Robert Key who hit an unbeaten 104.
Nash, who made an even fifty in the first innings, faced 97 balls in a shade over two hours at the crease, before edging off-spinner Jigar Naik to slip.
Earlier, Leicestershire were dismissed for 495 an hour before lunch, after resuming the final day on 452 for seven.
Matthew Boyce (135) and Shiv Thakor (114) hit centuries on Friday.
