ASKH holds successful grading examinations

The Association Do Shotokan of Guyana (ASKG) recently concluded grading examinations at the Anna Regina Multilateral School and the Linden Shotokan Karate Club.

The examinations were held on April 20 and May 4 respectively.

At the Anna Regina Multilateral School, six students were successful and earned their respective promotions. Haimnauth Gharbaran and Jamal McCurdy were outstanding in their demonstrations which earned them promotions to 1st Kyu Brown Belt, while Carlos Benn was promoted to Blue Belt and Ying Hao Cao, Ying Hui Cao and Huan Xiao Liu all earned Orange Belts.

Examinations held at the Linden Shotokan Karate Club saw Anita Narine being promoted to Green Belt, while Bisham Narine and Jennifer Roberts graduated to Yellow Belt.

The examinations were conducted by 9th degree black belt and Chief instructor/Chairman of the Guyana Karate College, Master Frank Woon-A-Tai and 6th degree Dan Sensei Amir Khouri who is the Chairman and Chief Instructor at the ASK.
