PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC- A longstanding record set by Brian Lara for the highest individual score in Trinidad and Tobago’s Secondary School Cricket League (SSCL) has been broken.

Former National under-13 captain Kirstan Kallicharan missed his double century by six runs but surpassed the record set by the former West Indies cricketer during his time in the league.

Lara’s record was 168.
