The project, which is overseen by Kishan Bacchus General Contractor’s Services and began its restoration on March 14 and is expected to be fully completed by Sunday according to the foreman who was present along with other workers when Stabroek Sport visited the facility.

The various boundaries and lines belonging to the different disciplines of sport which include Basketball, Volleyball, Hockey and Badminton to name a few, have already been drawn on the new floor.

According to workers, the floor will now have to be painted, followed by the lacquering process which they anticipate will be finished by this weekend.

The foreman also mentioned a few slight setbacks with reference to incorrect dimension to which he credited his team for rectifying in a professional manner.

A logo belonging to the National Sports Commission will be centered in the middle of the newly constructed floor once fully completed.
