Waramdong Secondary retain Region 7 title

Waramadong Secondary, propelled by a Kevon Richmond first half brace in the 18th and 32nd minutes, defeated Bartica Secondary 5-2 as action in the Digicel/Powerade National U18 Schools Football championships continued at the Bartica ground on Sunday.

Forward Fernando Hunter and centre half Henton Browne contributed to the score line as they recorded goals in the 74th and 84th minutes respectively. An own goal during the dying seconds of injury time would complete the win.

Bartica captain Nicolas Collison recorded a double on either side of half time in the 37thand 47th minutes in a losing effort.

With the victory, Waramadong Secondary retained their region 7 title while earning a spot in the national championship tournament playoffs.
