Popular promoters Lyall Gittens and Mark `Jumbie’ Wiltshire will stage separate dominoes competitions shortly.
On July 1, Gittens and the Guyana Legion will host a grand 18-team domino competition at the Guyana Legion Headquarters, Carifesta Avenue Georgetown from noon.
The entrance fee for participating teams will be $9000 and the winning side will receive $80,000 with the second and third place finishers pocketing $40,000 and $20,000 respectively.
The competing teams are Ansa McAl, Banks DIH, Republic Bank, Mayor and City Council (MCC), Guyana Shipping, DeSinco Trading, Bayride, Harbour Bridge, Guyana Prison Service, Guyana Legion, Ministry of Works, Guyana Printery, Guyana Police Force, Guyana Fire Service, National Communication Network (NCN), Caricom, Sterling Products, NAFICO, Guyana Post Office and Ming’s Products and Services.
