Godfrey Lowden overcame Rudy Grant through a third set tie-break in their men’s O35 encounter as action in the Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry (GBTI) Open continued at the company’s Recreational Club, Kaieteur Street Bel-Air Park on Friday.
Lowden took the first set comfortably 6-2 but Grant quickly responded claiming the second set 6-1. With the winner of the tiebreaker being the first person to record 10 points, Lowden closed out the match 10-3.
Anthony Downes and Jason Andrews continued their dominant displays as they blanked the duo of Seanden David-Longe and Steven David-Longe
