Tigers to face Seawall FC in Slingerz Goal for Gold tournament

Action in the Slingerz/National Association for Women Football (NAWF) Goal for Gold football tournament continues today at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) ground, Bourda with two slated fixtures.

In the opening encounter at 18:30hrs, Georgetown heavyweights BK Western Tigers will face off with West Demerara outfit Seawall FC in a keenly anticipated matchup.

Leading local side Alpha ‘the Hammer’ United will look continue their national dominance when they oppose East Bank outfit Grove Hi-Tech in the feature contest of the evening at 20:30hrs.
Launched under the Stag brand, the tournament which commenced on August 10th will feature 16 male teams and 6 female sides competing within a grand simultaneous tourney.

The winners of the male segment of the event will receive $2,000,000 and a trophy while second, third and fourth place finishers will earn $1,000,000, $500,000 and $300,000 and a trophies respectively.
