A resurgent BK Western Tigers will lock horns with a resilient Pele outfit at 18:30hrs in a match that promises to be a high scoring thriller.

Coach of the West Ruimveldt giants Calvin Allen during an invited comment stated:“I expect Pele coming all guns blazing. We are preparing for an onslaught and will play them with all the due respect. However, we will have to play our football and not focus on what they play. I am 100 percent sure if we stick to our strengths and game plan we will be victorious.”  Fresh off their upset opening victory over a youthful Fruta Conquerors side, Pele coach Barry Myers in brief pre match comment stated:“We are aiming for nothing else but a victory. Pele doesn’t go anywhere to play to lose. We will do what we have to do and go for the victory. The club is rebuilding and we will go out there to win.”

In the feature contest of the evening at 20:30hrs, leading local national club side Alpha ‘the Hammer’ United will oppose the always organized Guyana Defence Force in what is anticipated to be a bruising matchup.

Wayne Dover, coach of the Alpha unit during a pre match comment stated “Our aim is to win the championship. We will approach the game looking for a positive result. Obviously we are very aware that this is a much stiffer opponent than Grove Hi-Tech. They are fit, very organized and have a coach but we will be going for a positive result.” Denzil ‘Hunky Brains’ Thompson in an invited comment said:“The team that makes the fewer mistakes will always win the game. Alpha is the team with most of the world cup players but its how they apply themselves because different things could happen in the game.”
