ANSA McAL Trading Limited through its Smalta brand has sponsored badminton players Abosaide Cadogan and Nadine Jairam to attend the Caribbean International Open Championships organised by the Caribbean Regional Badminton Confederation (CAREBACO) in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
At a simple ceremony at the company’s boardroom in Beterverwagting (BV), East Coast Demerara, the sponsorship cheques were handed over to the young players. The tournament officially runs from September 8-15.
At the 2012 tournament which was held in the Dominican Republic, Guyana won two gold, one silver and five bronze medals.
