Den Amstel FC led by an Andre Hector helmet trick mauled Wales FC 8-0 when action in the West Demerara Football Association (WDFA) Stag Beer Senior League continued at the Den Amstel ground on Sunday.
Hector netted in the 25th, 29th, 30th and 85th while Jeffrey Perreira and Delon Lanferman completed the rout with doubles in the 35th, 80th and 81st, 83rd minutes respectively.
In the second matchup, Uitvlugt Warriors through a Jamaal Harvey double in the 49th and 55th minutes defeated De Kinderen FC 4-1. Goals on either side of halftime by Charles Stoby and Alex Moore in the 24th and 63rd minutes respectively completed the win.
De Kinderen briefly took the lead through a Randy Sealey 19th minute strike.
