Moe heads Western Tigers

Roger Moe was installed as the President of West Ruimveldt giant BK Western Tigers as the club held its biannual general meeting at the West Ruimveldt Community Playfield on Sunday.

Moe who served in the capacity as Chairman of the club’s Interim Management Committee (IMC) was elected unopposed to the position. In the vice president position, Paul Daly was elected unopposed while former national footballer Anthony Stanton was confirmed in the secretary’s position unopposed.

Founder member of the institution, Allan Walker was confirmed as the new treasurer unopposed. The selection for the positions of Assistant Secretary/Treasurer and Public Relations Officer was deferred to a later date.

Attorney-at-Law Mark Waldron was the returning officer while several Georgetown Football Association officials inclusive of President Vernon Burnett, Vice President of Administration Lavern Fraser Thomas and General Secretary Odinga Lumumba were on hand to witness the proceedings.
