Rain disrupts Red Force practice sessions ahead of Monday’s clash with Titans

AHMEDABAD, India,  CMC- Trinidad and Tobago Red Force have arrived in Ahmedabad for their third game of the Champions League T20 but their first scheduled practice session was called off because of a waterlogged outfield.

A bleak weather forecast over the next few days is also threatening to disrupt further outdoor practice sessions in the days leading up to their clash with Titans on Monday.

Ahmedabad has been witnessing heavy and relentless rainfall, over the past few days and the continuous downpour greeted the Trinidadians on arrival at the Hyatt hotel on Wednesday. Organisers of the tournament have already shifted the game between Mumbai Indians and Highveld Lions, carded for today, to the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

Red Force team management has  also been informed that their match against Titans could also be shifted to Jaipur if the bad weather continues over the weekend.

Rain had the final say in Ahmedabad on Monday as both matches were abandoned without a ball being bowled.

In the first match, the Highveld Lions and Perth Scorchers shared the spoils and earned two points each for a no result match, whilst Mumbai Indians and Otago Volts similarly earned the same points for their abandoned match.

T&T, with one win and a loss, must win their final two matches to guarantee a place in the semifinals.
