Cadogan wins El Dorado Classic golf tourney

Ansa Mc Al’s Troy Cadogan on Saturday defeated a strong field to win the Lusignan Golf Club’s El Dorado Classic golf tournament at the Lusignan Golf Course.

Playing with a handicap of 27, Cadogan shot 93 to end with a net of 66.

In second position was Christine Sukhram (10 handicap) who finished with a gross of 80 and a net of 70.

Two players ended with a net of 71 but Brian Hackett, who recorded a gross of 94 and a net of 71 after playing with a handicap of 23, was adjudged the third place finisher ahead of Gavin Todd, who, playing with a handicap of 17, recorded a gross of 88 for a net of 71.

Mohanlall `Santo’ Dinnanauth won best the gross prize for his score of 77 while Vijay Deo was the Nearest to the Pin winner.

The club will on Sunday stage the Safeway Security tournament beginning at 9am.
