The South Turkeyen Sports Committee in collaboration with Bannas Foundation will be hosting a five-aside football and penalty shoot-out competition tomorrow at the National Gymnasium Tarmac on Mandela Avenue from 9:30hrs.
Teams from Sophia, Lodge, Meadowbrook, Tigerbay, Albouystown, Enterprise, East La Penitence and Vryheid Lust among others are expected to feature in the tourney organized by Johnny ‘Overseas’ Barnwell and Kevin Walcott.
Cash prizes are donated by Antarctic Maintenance and Repairs, Den’s trading and Giftland OfficeMax while the trophies and medals are donated Bannas Foundation and the Guyana Olympic Association (GOA) among others.
