Third Guyana Cup…Cotton Field Wild Oats looking to reclaim title

Cotton Field Wild Oats softball cricket team said they are looking to put the disappointment of losing to last year’s champions behind them and win this year’s third Guyana Cup tournament.

According to skipper Trevis Simon, the players were disappointed in their defeat to eventual champions New York and will be looking to make amends this year especially after winning the inaugural Guyana Cup softball tournament in 2011.

Simon said the players have become much more accustomed and confident playing with the big ball which is used in the Guyana Cup.

“For this year’s tournament our first goal will be to get to the semis and then we take it from there.
