- will meet Albion in final

A fine all-round performance from Travis Williams led the Courtland All Stars to a spot in the final of the inaugural 2013 Raffik and Sons Second Division 20-Overs Cricket Competition, organised by the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) for teams in the Lower and Central Corentyne areas.

Williams struck a vital 36 and returned to snare 5 for 16 from 3.5 overs including four consecutive dismissals, enabling Courtland All Stars to defeat their neighbours Fyrish by 38-runs in the semi-final. In the match which was played at Fyrish, Courtland All Stars choosing to bat first made 152 for 8 in their 20 overs despite a bad start to the innings.

Michael Cummings (45), Jamal Cort (17) and Keon Sinclair (16) put their team back on track. Bowling for Fyrish, Kevin Subramanie picked up 3 for 28 and former Berbice Under-19 off-spinner Monilall Shivdyal 2 for 26 from 4 overs.

In their response, Fyrish were skittled out for 114 all out in 18.5 overs with Monilall Shivdyal the only shining light, scoring 45. Sinclair supported the on song Williams, grabbing 3 for 16 from 4 overs. This win now means that the All Stars will clash with the winner of the other semi-final, Albion Community Centre in the final at Chesney on Sunday 24th November, 2013.
