Maths passes at CSEC improve to record high

Guyana has recorded an improved pass rate of 38.7% at Mathematics at this year’s Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examinations, which Education Minister Priya Manickchand reported as the best performance in the subject in the country’s history.

A Zeelugt woman being transferred from the Leonora Cottage Hospital to the West Demerara Regional Hospital (WDRH) for blood pressure-related illnesses on Sunday afternoon died following an accident involving the ambulance transporting her and a minibus.
