The Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha’s shelter for children, Bal Nivas, was formally declared open yesterday, at its Port Mourant, Corentyne Berbice location. Indian playback singer Sonu Nigam cut the ribbon to declare the shelter open in the presence of President Donald Ramotar, Prime Minister Sam Hinds, First Lady Deolatchmee Ramotar, Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha President Dr Vindhya Persaud and others.
