GDF hosts medical doctors from the USA

Nine military doctors from the USA today toured the Guyana Defence Force Medical Corps at the end of their two week visit to Guyana, a release from the GDF said.

The visiting group consisted of four USAF Aerospace Medical Residents, two Preventative Medicine physicians (one Army and one Navy), two prospective Flight Surgeons, and their Team Leader, Specialist in Infectious Diseases, Dr. Mary Bavaro.

Welcoming the visiting medical team, Colonel Administration and Quartering, Captain John Flores, conveyed a warm welcome on behalf of Chief of Staff Brigadier Mark Phillips.

Officer Commanding Medical Corps, Major Parmeshwar Netram accompanied by the Force Medical Officer Dr. Frederick Deane and other Medical Corps Staff, escorted the team through a tour of the facilities.
