Cabinet clears contract for $375m Kaituma hospital

Head of the Presidential Secretariat, Dr. Roger Luncheon on Tuesday advised that ‘no objections’ were granted to six contracts including $375m for the construction of the medical building at the Port Kaituma Hospital, Region One at a cost of $375M.

Contracts were also given the go-ahead for medical and physiotherapy equipment for the Ministry of Health to the tune of $32.6m, the supply and delivery of contraceptives and related items at $54m and radiology supplies at $48.8m.

A contract for the construction of phase three of the synthetic track facility at Leonora was also given the green light at the value of $62.2m. A contract for the procurement of law books for the supreme court was also cleared. This contract is worth 57,000 pounds sterling.
