Digicel unveils Nokia 106

As part of its seventh anniversary celebrations, Digicel Guyana unveiled the Nokia 106 handset touted as ‘simplicity and durability’ for persons on the go.

A release on January 19, 2014, said that Digicel Guyana will be “building on the platform of having the widest range of brand new handsets available in the market” by adding the Nokia N106 to its list of affordable handsets.

It said that the Nokia N106 was known for both style and simplicity. “The vibrant 1.8” colour display of the Nokia 106 set it apart from other phones, so you can talk and text in style.”

Jacqueline James, Head of Marketing said that “the Nokia 106 is the perfect handset for persons on the go.” Once fully charged it can go a month without needing to recharge, “thanks to the incredible standby time of up to 35 days.”

The phone features a dust and splash-proof keymat, and the characters on the keys will not fade, no matter how long they are used.

It also has an FM radio, flashlight and can store up to 500 contacts, games and 32- Polyphonic ringtones, the release added.

According to James, “The Nokia N106 is affordably priced at a cost of $5,500 and will be available in all Digicel stores countrywide.”
