The man wanted over the fatal shooting of police constable Quincy Wright yesterday walked into the Sparendaam Police station on the East Coast of Demerara and turned himself in, a police source said.
A wanted bulletin was issued by the police for Steve Richard Bacchus earlier this week and had stated that he was also under suspicion for a matter where a security guard’s gun was stolen on January 23. Wright of Zeskenderen, Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara was shot in his chest on Friday night and pronounced dead at the Georgetown Public Hospital. Wright was shot during a visit to his girlfriend’s residence in Guyhoc Park.
