Ras Michael traces poetry development

On February 28, Moray House Trust (MHT) hosted an event where poet/writer Ras Michael Jeune traced the development of poetry in Guyana.
A release from MHT said that Ras Michael traced the development of Guyanese poetry from the traditional form to the genre of the dub-poem.

This examination spanned a period from the mid-1800s to present day.
The works of several poets were presented as a means of tracing the development of poetry.
Some of the poets whose works were presented included Egbert Martin, A.J. Seymour, Martin Carter, John Campbell and Ras  Michael.
The show was well received and appreciated by the audience, MHT said.
