Businessmen robbed in boats at Waini, police probing

Investigations are being conducted into a report, police say, that at about 0130h yesterday that businessmen Itram Narine, 46 years, and Khemraj, 45 years, of Port Kaituma, NWD, were attacked and robbed by two men, one of whom was armed with a firearm, while in their motor vessels at the mouth of the Waini River, NWD.
The two perpetrators, police say, came up in another boat and held up the two victims and took away a total of US$15, 800 and their four (4) outboard motor engines and escaped.
The two victims were left adrift and managed to reach ashore at Morawhanna, NWD, during last night.
