Mabaruma girl stabbed in drinking spree

A 17-year-old Mabaruma girl was yesterday air dashed to the city after she was reportedly stabbed several times by a relative during a drinking spree.

Injured is Lynette Morgow of Hubu Hill, Mabaruma, North West District.

According to reports, the teen and her aunt were drinking early yesterday morning when an argument ensued during which Morgow assaulted her aunt.

The woman subsequently picked up a bottle and stabbed her several times about her chest and abdomen.

She was rushed to the Mabaruma Hospital in a critical condition but later transferred to the Georgetown Public Hos-pital for further medical treatment.
