Abiola Jacobs, 22, of 55 Evan Phillips Park, Agricola, is currently awaiting the start of the preliminary inquiry into the charge that she murdered Taylor, 55 of 1617 Public Road, Agricola. Taylor was discovered in her backyard bound and with her throat slit, while British national Samantha Sabat, Taylor’s house guest, was found unconscious in the front of the yard.

On Tuesday, Mangru, informed Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry that he only received the file on the matter on the same day, before the matter was called before her and was therefore unable to go through it. Mangru, however, stated that the investigation was incomplete, pending a witness statement from a Lance Corporal. The prosecutor requested three weeks to complete the investigation.

As a result, the case was adjourned until May 20.
