The police say they are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at about 0530h. today at Haslington, ECD, and which resulted in the death of Vernon Gordon, 68 years, of North Haslington, ECD.
Investigations have so far revealed that Gordon is alleged to have attempted to cross the Public Road and was struck down by a mini-bus, police say. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the GPHC.
The driver of the motor vehicle is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
