The Police say they are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at about 0630h today at Bee Hive Public Road, ECD, and which resulted in the death of Chanderpaul Sookdai, 63 years, of Bee Hive Housing Scheme, ECD.
Police say that investigations have revealed that Sookdai was riding a bicycle when he was struck down by a private motor car driven by a policeman.
He was taken to the GPHC where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The policeman is under close arrest assisting with the investigations.
