Cocaine found in frozen fish at airport

A woman was yesterday afternoon held with cocaine at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Timehri as she was preparing to board a flight to the United States.

Head of the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) James Singh confirmed the bust as well as the woman’s arrest. He said that six pounds of cocaine was found in the frozen fish.

Stabroek News understands that it was CANU ranks who found the cocaine concealed in the frozen fish which was in the woman’s suitcase.
