Albouystown man awaits sentencing after admitting to killing wife

An Albouystown man yesterday pleaded guilty to fatally stabbing his wife in front of the Georgetown Prison.

Haydock Baxter, who pleaded guilty to manslaughter for the death of his wife Carol Baxter, will be sentenced on June 17 by Justice Dawn Gregory following his admission of guilt in the High Court.

Baxter is said to have attacked his wife outside of the prison, stabbing her several times after she refused to go with him to sign divorce papers on October 20, 2006.

Baxter is being represented by attorney Hukumchand, while Natasha Backer
