A GPL pole is hanging over the one-room dwelling of Anthony Thomas who gave his address as the small building located on the West Bank Demerara Public Road, under the GPL utility pole.
Thomas, said that the pole has been in its current situation for over three months and is only being held up by the wires attached to the second upright pole. He says he requested the assistance of GPL on numerous occasions but has been unsuccessful in his attempts.
“Fear strickens me every time I have to step inside that building and sleep at night, I need these people to come and fix this problem, three months now is too long”, the sentiments of Thomas as he related his disposition to Stabroek News.
Stabroek News was unable to make contact with GPL regarding the issue.
