Tucville woman accused of wounding former stepfather

A woman yesterday appeared in a city court on a charge that she wounded her former stepfather.

Eletha Presscott denied that on June 4, at Georgetown, she unlawfully and maliciously wounded Kenneth Philadelphia.

Prescott, who was unrepresented by counsel, gave her address as Tucville Squatting Area.

When asked his relationship to the defendant, Philadelphia told the court, “I used to be her stepfather but not any longer.”

No facts of what transpired on the day in question were presented to the court.

Prescott was placed on self-bail and bonded to keep the peace, pending the determination of the matter.

The case will be called again on June 16.
